Welcome to Mickey Wesmoreland Photography

My name is Mickey, I am the Artist and Owner of Mickey Wesmoreland Photography, an LGBTQ+ owned business, and I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by. I am so glad you visited today.

Let me share a little about me...

I am a Nurse and Published Landscape and Macro Photographer. I started my journey with digital photography after a heart attack in June of 2023 that almost took my life. I found peace and relaxation in traveling to an assortment of local areas in Washington State investing hours taking many shots until the photo was just right.

When I was recovering from a heart attack in the hospital, my landscape was very chilly and non therapeutic. I vividly recall how the bed was very hard and the atmosphere very " institutional" and my want is to change that for others. Healing can be a place of beauty and I inject over 30 years of Nursing experience into my projects to capture photos meant to sooth the soul and provide the viewer with a tranquil focus point. All of the photos you see on this site took many tries before giving it my seal of approval.

Through this process, I connected with the healing and restorative properties of photography instantly. I meshed with them and became one with them. I enjoy bringing the beauty of what I see in the world to you so much that I made my love of photography into a small business that serves you, and hope that you too engage with the beauty I see through my lens.

My framed work is the perfect fit for personal in- home appreciation, as well as Collectors adding a Wesmoreland to their gallery, and businesses and medical centers big and small wanting Wesmoreland's on the walls to greet their guests, or to provide a soothing tranquil image to focus on during a medical procedure.
